An acclaimed guitarist, Robert Randolph has graced the stage a number of times at Eric Clapton’s Crossroad Festival and was recently voted one of the hundred greatest guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine. With the Family Band, he has toured alongside industry staples like Carlos Santana, Gary Clark Jr, the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Dave Matthews. And for Brighter Days, Robert and The Family Band teamed up with renowned producer Dave Cobb to create a euphoric, ten-track album that flies past in what feels like a matter of minutes, leaving the listener dizzy and euphoric in its wake.

On Brighter Days, the band sticks to its roots of sacred steel music, taking the listener on a joyous journey with their signature gospel-infused blues rock. Randolph’s dynamic playing, ranging from the delta blues to classic country to gospel, is shown heavily throughout the album (it’s no wonder about the Rolling Stone accolade!). Robert Randolph and the Family Band have been consistently releasing high energy, genre-fusing albums for nearly two decades, and they continue to craft them with the utmost care. Brighter Days is a clean and crisp album full of impressive instrumentation, lyrics rife with imagery and the passion that gets fans out of their seats euphorically dancing.
