STARS Friday 21st Feb @ 12.45

In the late 70s Australia’s legendary country rock band Stars had a string of hits including “You’d Better Look After Yourself” and “The Mighty Rock” as well as iconic albums “Paradise” and “Land of Fortune”. Sadly the prolific song writer for the band, Andy Durant passed away in 1980 which led to the wonderful “Andy Durant Memorial Concert” double album, a massive hit that also featured Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Renee Geyer and Richard Clapton amongst others. The album is etched in Australian music folklore.
The band finally reformed in recent times with original members Mick Pealing, Mal Eastick, Roger McLachlan along with new members Nick Charles and Erik Chess. While capturing their classic sound the band has also added an impressive catalogue of new songs receiving rave reviews across the land thus continuing the story of this definitive Australian outfit.
Witness the launch of a brand new album from Stars – “One More Circle Round the Sun” and of course some of their hits and past glories!
