Description

Mike Rudd’s The Indelible Murtceps 1972 cult classic ‘Warts Up Your Nose’ has been released on CD for the very first time.

Murtceps was Rudd’s alter-ego prog rock band. Murtceps was the mirror image of Rudd’s main outfit Spectrum. Murtceps is Spectrum spelt backwards. It was the same band as Spectrum with Rudd on vocals and guitar, Bill Putt o bass, Lee Neale on electric piano, Ray Arnott on drums.

‘Warts Up Your Nose’ was recorded in late 1972 with producer Peter Dawkins, who that same years had produced the Russell Morris classic ‘Wings On An Eagle’ and would later go on to produce albums for Slim Dusty, Billy Thorpe, Dragon, Mi-Sex, Sharon O’Neill, Matt Finish and Pseudo Echo.
