The sixth full-length release for the alternative rock band was produced by Tom Dalgety and is its first with bassist Paz Lenchantin as a full-time member. Produced by Tom Dalgety, Head Carrier sees the band’s sound reaching back to their heyday. “It has a bit of early Pixies slosh in it,” Frank Black told the BBC 6 Music in an interview. “A certain amount of neatness. It’s definitely not as a Indie Cindy or a Trompe le Monde or whatever. It’s a little more a similar landscape, more like Doolittle I suppose.”
