Description

The Power To Believe, originally issued in 2003, is King Crimson’s final studio album to date. This reissue, part of the KC 40th Anniversary Series, was produced by Machine with post-production work by David Singleton and Robert Fripp, allowing for the inclusion of additional elements and edits prior to release.

Content-wise, fans of the mid-1970s KC lineup should find the most to enjoy on Power To Believe, as it not only finds King Crimson playing with muscular aggression similar to that period, but also revisiting the group improvisation that set them so far apart from other 70s prog bands. For this reissue, three additional tracks from the sessions – the “Sus-tayn-Z I & II” and “Superslow” – have been also been included as expansions. As for the original traKcs, hi-res stereo versions of both original & new masters have been included to accommodate all versions, now released in a higher bitrate format.

Finally, the Happy mini-album – as VROOOM was to THRAK – a precursor of the full album, is included, completing the story of this line-up & completing the 40th anniversary series, appropriately, with King Crimson’s most recent studio recordings. KC fans rejoyce!
