Description

Big Brother & The Holding Company originally pitched the title “Sex, Dope & Cheap Thrills” for their 1968 classic Cheap Thrills – but the squares at the record label weren’t into the idea. Now finally having their way, the band is releasing nearly two-and-a-half hours of alternate takes and live recordings from the era under the title they wanted. Most of them are previously unreleased.
Released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Cheap Thrills, this 2-disc set includes special liner notes by Jefferson Airplane front-woman Grace Slick and Big Brother & The Holding Company drummer David Getz. Fans will get a lot out of this double disc pack!
